Pillars Academy Launches New Website

Mission Viejo, CA (October 2011) Building off of a recent name change, Pillars Academy, a private Islamic school serving Orange County, launched a new, comprehensive website to further communicate their revised look, mission and curriculum. The site, www.pillarsacademy.org, accessible but under construction since June 1st, is now complete.

Pillars Academy originally opened its doors as Al-Ridah Academy in September of 2000 with only 12 students. Today, the school has over fifty students and hopes to continue growing. The June name change was an effort to revitalize and expand the school by bolstering the academic and religious programs and appealing to a broader base of families. A new toddler program and the addition of fifth and sixth grade are intended to facilitate this growth.

As outlined in the school’s 2011-2016 Strategic Plan, available on the website, the programs and curriculum for the upcoming school year provide more competitive education standards, improving quality without increasing tuition.

The website further details the school’s focus on catering to the next generation of leaders. “Pillars Academy understands that both children and times are unique in that they are ever-evolving… [At Pillars Academy] we can respond and adapt, growing together into a more effective team.”

About Pillars Academy:
Pillars Academy provides a holistic approach to education and has gained a reputation of a friendly, caring environment. The school retains fully credentialed teachers and maintains a low teacher to student ratio to ensure high quality instruction. It is the only full-time private Islamic school in Orange County accredited by both The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
